Vulcanization labels (also called pre-cure tire labels or bead barcode labels) are specialized identification labels applied to uncured (green) tires before vulcanization. During the curing process, the label's rubber-based adhesive chemically reacts with the tire rubber under extreme heat (170°C–200°C+) and pressure, permanently bonding to the tire surface. Unlike post-cure labels, vulcanization labels become a permanent part of the tire — they cannot be removed without damaging the tire itself.

Our vulcanization labels use specially formulated rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSA) that are triggered to undergo a chemical bonding reaction when exposed to vulcanization temperatures (170°C–200°C+) and pressure. The PET or polyester facestock and protective topcoating are engineered to maintain dimensional stability, print legibility, and barcode scannability through the full curing cycle. The label doesn't just stick to the tire — it bonds with it at a molecular level.

Pre-cure labels (vulcanization labels) are applied to the green (uncured) tire before it enters the curing mold. They permanently bond during vulcanization and become part of the tire. Our standard vulcanization label construction uses a PET white film facestock with a specially formulated rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesive. The facestock accepts thermal transfer or flexographic printing, protected by a durable topcoating that resists heat, pressure, and chemical exposure during vulcanization. For demanding applications, we also offer polyester facestocks and proprietary rubber compound films engineered to specific curing parameters. All materials are tested in our own vulcanization test equipment before specification.

Yes. Our retread vulcanization labels are specifically formulated to bond to aged, used rubber carcasses — a far more demanding adhesion challenge than virgin green rubber. We use higher-tack adhesive formulations and surface-tolerant constructions that achieve reliable bonding even on contaminated or irregular carcass surfaces. These labels provide permanent identification and DOT compliance marking through the full retreading vulcanization cycle.
